In 2022, the China NZ Cultural Exchange Centre (Auckland, New Zealand) reached a formal strategic cooperation with East China Jiaotong University, the Jiangxi Provincial Education Department and the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE). The cooperation aims to advance the 2+2 international undergraduate programme and transnational cooperation with overseas institutions, and explicitly tasks the Centre with the recruitment and operational management of the relevant programmes.

Core of the cooperation

Leveraging East China Jiaotong University's mature academic system and CSCSE's authoritative platform, the Centre connects the high-quality institution resources of New Zealand, Australia, the UK and other countries to the domestic market, building a seamless "2 years domestic + 2 years overseas" international undergraduate pathway — allowing students to smoothly transition to partner institutions after completing the domestic stage, with mutual credit recognition and degree articulation.

What it means for families

This cooperation lets students from Jiangxi and across China begin an international undergraduate education without going overseas first — controlling upfront costs while gaining a credential path recognised by both China and the destination country, backed by end-to-end companion services. Drawing on first-hand institution resources and full-process capability built since 1999, the Centre provides solid support from planning, application and visa through to settlement and immigration.

Going forward, the Centre will continue to expand transnational-education and teacher-international-development programmes, helping more Chinese students reach the world through a standardised, transparent and reliable pathway.
